I graduated from Temple University in 2016 with my BBA in
Actuarial Science. I have worked as a lifeguard and taught swim lessons from
2013 to 2016 for multiple facilities and organizations across the country, some
of which include the YMCA, Temple University, and the University of
Pennsylvania. During my years working for Temple University I also assisted
with instructing Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Swimming, and Lifeguarding Classes
with various professors. During my last year of schooling I held an internship
with Global Indemnity as an Underwriting Assistant, and after my graduation I
accepted a position as an Associate Broker/Producer with USG in Pittsburgh.
After some time there I decided to leave the Insurance Industry and joined HMS
Host in one of their Starbucks concepts where I worked my way up from barista
to Shift Supervisor in less than 60 days. While with HMS Host I traveled to
other locations and helped train their Starbucks floor associates, restructure
their back offices, and trained their shift supervisors on how to successfully
lead by utilizing the Starbucks tools and standards. I’m so excited to be able
to join the Spotswood Country Club management family and to be able to spread my
love for fitness and personal development with all the members and staff. This
upcoming summer is going to have some new, exciting events and activities for
all members and I can’t wait to see you all up at the Pool!
I am a Head Lifeguard for the Club. I currently attend James Madison University where I am majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Special Education. I have worked at the Bedford, VA YMCA for five years. During my tenure at the YMCA, I was a certified head lifeguard, swim instructor, and swim coach. I thoroughly enjoy working in the aquatic environment because it allows me to engage with people from all walks of life. It is my passion to teach children the basics of swimming and see them progress through their time in lessons. I am excited for this summer and the opportunity to take our aquatics division to the next level!
